Okay, here's an interesting find... Does everyone know the theme song to the movie, "The Princess Bride"? You know, that cheesy melody that arose every time Wesley and Buttercup got together...
Okay, I know you do. Don't be afraid... it's alright.
Imagine that song playing in your head, or youtube it if you have to.
Now, I was going through my simple Eric Clapton collection and trying out some new stuff, when I came along his song, "Holy Mother." I was really getting into it, especially because it was dedicated to Richard Manuel, (commonly known as a member of The Band) one of my other favourite singers/musicians. Then, in the middle of the song, that theme from "The Princess Bride" came up... and now I can't get it out of my head...
Please tell me someone else has noticed this, or at least does now. Well, I just thought I'd share that with you all. Cheers.

February's Fatigue
I know, I know, I'm super late. Okay, so this is how this past month went...
...
That's about it.
I worked a bit. Just odd jobs... data research and email tasks. I'm not really looking for a full-time job yet, but hopefully I can get one when the time comes. My Servant Leadership team has raised close to 6 thousand dollars now, just over our half-way mark. I believe we can get the rest easy now that we've made contact with a plethora of strong businesses.
I've taken a long break from scripting and directing now. I should be getting news of a small project coming up in the next month or so, until then I enjoy giving tips and sharing media.
I'm going for a hair cut early tomorrow morning... I really need it. I might post again before May, if I get the time. For now, cheers.

January's Jumble
Okay, we are now announcing the new format for the rest of the year. It goes something kinda like this. I create an alliterative title for the previous month and then spew everything that happened within that month. Okay... actually the first time I wrote that, I typed "Olay." So I guess that's fitting. Olay!
January seemed to be a bit of a mix up and a huge eye-opener. I realized I couldn't keep up with the busy schedule that had amassed over the previous months. Many of the promises I had made had to be quickly fulfilled to meet the deadlines of other projects. The movie montage I co-directed went smashingly well. The audience loved it and gave congratulations repeatedly following the presentation. Even a week ago I met a girl who said she enjoyed it and wanted to see more short-films of a small portioned comedy my friend and I wrote and acted in. Truly, through all the stress and countless overtime hours, it had paid off in full. I'm expecting DVD copies to be made some time soon by our executive director.
Another section is devoted to my friends. I've recently been struggling to delegate time to friends and mentors with the load of work that's been dumped on me. I still keep my regular meetings with my discipleship groups, but I'm finding it hard to navigate any extra evenings or coffees outside of meetings. For the next couple months, I'm really going to buckle down with my Senior Servant Leadership group as we're working on fine-tuning our schedule to attend a session in Parliament in Ottawa. We've been contacting our MP to arrange reserved seating and private meetings. So far, it's looking quite promising. Through the past couple weeks to now, we've been contacting local businesses for sponsorships and additional funding. It's tremendously inspiring to see such wonderful passion and determination in the hearts and actions of those who care for the future of Canada. These strong leaders will guide the way to a stronger nation and encourage others to grow as a whole, not just letting the government provide an easy way out. My dad always uses a quote to show me how to set my sights on my future. "I refuse to tip-toe through life only to arrive safely at death."
Take it as you like, but I'm not going to stand by and watch. You can either grow old, complain about the past, and eventually die. OR you can be teaching your kids to carry the torch of the blessings of the future until you die of exhaustion, knowing you've changed the world forever.

Crap, it's been a while
hehe, sorry guys 'n' gals. I know I haven't been faithful to my posts, especially For Smuggling Diamonds. I'm having a lot of trouble with getting the webcomic up and even caring about it. Maybe I'll have to keep it in my drawers for a bit longer... and I mean DESK drawers. I'm gonna have to pull it back to monthly visits for now, just until everything currently in my life blows over. Thanks at least for sticking by... if you have. Get ready for February. Cheers.

Filler Episode
Hey viewers. Really sorry that I haven't been on here in forever. Don't worry, I haven't forgot about anyone. School's been cracking down on me and I'm finding it harder and harder to squeeze in extra time for my leisure activities. I really don't have anything to talk about yet because I'm doing more work right now. Just thought I'd let you all know that I'm not dead yet. If you have any topics for me to mull over, or just shovel words into my mouth, I'm completely up for that! Plus some changes might be that I might start posting more about life and daily occurrences because that's what everyone seems to want nowadays. BIG NEWS though! I'm thinking about December I shall be releasing my long awaited weekly webcomic, "For Smuggling Diamonds". Hope everyone will be looking forward to that! I'm probably going to be posting it to this page here, but if I change my mind, I'll be sure to notify everyone. Okay, that's about it. Please keep on sending in those emails, they sure help! Cheers.

New Telus Ad
Hello viewers,
On TV today, while in break between The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, I caught a surprising commercial from Telus. Please watch here.
To my astonishment, I read the slogan at the end frame of the ad. Telus' very own motto, "The future is friendly." Hold on a minute... "The future is friendly"? With the background music of, "Requiem for a Tower" by Chris Mansell? Last time I heard that song was for the trailer for Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. It seems a very epic song for a simple, "friendly" message. I'm quite sure it accomplished the purpose of wow-ing the viewers. I'm still confused if the people at Telus should keep their motto then, if their putting this awe-factor into their commercials. I guess what I'm saying is: think about your message before you go all out with amazing your consumers. Remember, "Telus, the future is friendly."

Stephen Colbert quote
I took the time to run over my hundreds of favourited youtube videos today and ran across and old one titled, "Speech at the White House Correspondent's Dinner (2006) p2". In an interesting detail towards the end, Stephen starting commenting on his meeting with Rev. Jesse Jackson. He compared asking him questions to his responses on his show, the Colbert Report. Then added the metaphor,
"It's like boxing a glacier. Enjoy that metaphor, by the way, because your grandchildren will have no idea what a glacier is."
I had so much fun with that quote. It's typical Stephen Colbert to sneak that in. Of course that was from his writers, but I'm refering to his stage character. I'm not a huge standard on Global Warming. I do believe that the earth is constantly going through climate change and that we are reaching a high. I also believe that we need to cut back on our cunsumption of crude oil. Like another quote I know, "the eye of a man will never be satisfied." I believe contentability is the answer. In all honesty, I just really enjoy this though. To have the odacity to go to the White House Correspondent's Dinner, and place in those hilariously honest truths... I'm just gonna stop now and say please search for that video, it's really worth watching.
